Reimagining Local Government: Equity and Equality

This session explored the differences between equity and equality and how we can build it in our communities. Internet connectivity has become one key element of living in a more remotely connected world, and now, more than ever, it is a key driver for equity in our communities. But to build equality, we need to understand how we can build deep empathy in ourselves and others. We explored how to build deep empathy with our residents and teams, explore tools like “deliberative engagement”, and explored equity and equality in our communities and where we can play a role.
